Brunhilda

Brunhilda trotted quickly through the snow to Scarlett’s den. Clutched in her jaws was a plump goose for the new mother. Normally she didn't go out of her way to meet the other of the pack but today was different. After talking with both Circe and Scarlett, the gruff female was looking forward to meeting little Hana. She had learned about the recent misfortune that had brought the pup to Na”em and she couldn't help the growl that formed in her throat. The idea of a mother willing abandoning her pups was unimaginable. Especially one that didn't even signal to the pack that she’d drop her child off at the borders. Taking a deep breath, she willed herself be be calmer. There was no need to be hostile when she met the already traumatized pup.

Reaching the den entrance, Brunhilda gave a low woof to announce she was outside. She wasn't sure if the pups were asleep and didn't want to wake them nor did she want to barge into the mother's den.

Hana

Hana slept between the pups.The little pup woke up as she heard the female wolf. She wasn't sure If it's an enemy or a friend. Hana smelled a stranger wolf. It couldn't be Circe. An unsurely growl came out of her throat. "Who is there?" she asked. She stood up and tried to see the visitor in the snowfall. Hana took all her braveness and went out of the warm and safe den. She stopped immediately as she saw the big Wolf, Hana lowered her head and licked her nose to show a submissive pose. "U-uhm.....h-hello.." she said shyly.

As Brunhilda waited for Scarlett to appear, she heard a low growl come from the cave and a young voice call out from the darkness. Before the gruff shewolf could answer, a small shepup shot out of the entrance only to freeze when the scarred female was spotted. The young shepup cowered low and gave shy greeting. Slowly, the older shewolf lowered her head to place the goose between them before replying, “Hello little, my name is Brunhilda and I've come to be your guardian.”

She wasn't sure how the pup would react to having to trust another stranger and Brunhilda knew she already looked intimidating with her battle scars and blind eye.

Hana tilted her head as she heard, the big wolf would be her guardian. She licked her cold little nose and looked a bit confused at her "My guardian? What does it mean?" She asked with a soft voice. Maybe scarlett is to overwhelmed to take care for her now. She could understand that. Hana knew what it means to take care of the little devils ... it was very exhausting to be a babysitter while scarlett was hunting. Even though, it hurts her a bit. She has to leave again. She likes to be here. Hana lowered her head and looked at her paws which were covered with snow.

Brunhilda lowered herself to the ground in order to be more on Hana's level. “A guardian is someone like a parent or an older sibling who takes care of you,” she explained slowly. She didn't include that a guardian was usually granted when a pup's birth family were no longer around. She'd seen pups believe wholeheartedly that their parents would return. Sadly, few ever did. She just hoped Hana would react positively to having a new mother figure in her life.

Hana smiled even she is a bit confused "So...I won't be able to visit Scarlett and the pups?" she asked sadly. "And where we are going?...I'm confused...what If my mother come back and I’m not here?" she looked at the older female. She has the same smell like scarlett, so she have to be in the same pack like Scarlett. // Mummy will come back...I need to stay here ...//

“You'll still be able to visit Scarlett and the pups,” assured Brunhilda with a small smile. She had already spoke to Scarlett about working out a deal with the young mother for her to nurse Hana while Brun adopted her. “We’ll be going to my den where my daughter Alena is waiting. As for your mother, Circe is on the look out for her. The alpha of our pack, Coven, will know as well so if your mother returns, she'll be directed to my den,” she said confidently.

Hana wiggled her tail. "Thank you very much!" She ran to Brunhilda and hugged her. She started to lick brunhilda's cheek. Hana will have a big family until her mother comes back. "The little devils are very exhausting. I cared for them while scarlett is hunting. But I love them!" she chuckled. "What about the pack, will I meet the Alpha?" She smiled happily. " I would like to meet everyone of the pack!"

The gruff shewolf smiled as Hana hugged and licked her cheek. Hana's ability to spring back from the worry of her missing mother was a positive sign. Brunhilda didn't have to fear that little hana would retreat into herself over it. “I'm sure Scarlett loved the help you gave her when you watched over them,” she praised before standing back to her paws.

“You'll be able to meet everyone while we wait for your mother to return and I'm sure Coven would love to meet you as well,” she replied assuredly with a slow wag of her tail. “Now let's head to my den in case Circe has any news regarding your mother. If she doesn't, I'm sure you'll enjoy playing with Alena while we wait,” she added as she waited for Hana to be ready to head out.

Hana

Hana smiled "Alright" hana followed Brunhilda as she started to walk. "Thank you for helping me" she looked forward to meet Alena. She hoped to see her mother one day again.
